My "image of the day", posted two days ago, was sent
to me by a reader and I shared it on my blog because
it has been the focus of a fair amount of discussion
on the internet this past week. It is a picture of a
"bird tornado". I wanted to ask you what you think of
it, as in; do you think it is photoshopped, otherwise
enhanced/altered, or real?

I also wanted to draw your attention to a book that I
reviewed that might be of interest to some of you,
Speciation in Birds by Trevor Price. In short, I think
this is a really good book that will appeal to a wide
variety of "bird people", both academics and amateurs.
