Hi Tweeters,

I am leading a trip to NWR this Saturday for Rainier
Audubon. There is room for more people. Last
Saturday the Seattle Audubon trip got great looks at
American Bittern. I am hoping for a repeat. There is
a lot of raptor activity, and a chance to possibly see
Great Horned Owl.

Feel free to either join us at the I-5/Hwy 512 Park
and Ride at 7:30am or email me at this address. We
should arrive at Nisqually around 8 to 8:15am if
anyone wants to meet at the refuge. Trip will be over
in the afternoon, probably around 2-3pm. Bring a
lunch, snacks, and beverage. Dress for the weather,
expect to be cold (but happy as you view those great
birds;-) and to have to walk on wet ground. Scopes
are always great here.

Directions to the park and ride: from I-5 going south
take exit 127 (Hwy 512), go right at the exit, then
immediate left--across several lanes to get
there--onto S Tacoma Way, then left about a half a
block down which leads you to the park and ride, go
left into the park and ride and meet in front of
McDonalds. (Bathrooms and hot food/coffee).
