My father in law made me a upside down hanging suet feeder which allows
chickadees, woodpeckers and other birds to feed, but apparently starlings
can't feed upside down. However the downside to it is that the local
Douglas squirrel has figured out how to open the cages and dump the suet
cake on the ground, which then starts a riot. So I have to use a wire clasp
to hold the suet cages (3) shut.
