Hi, Tweets

I forgot to mention birds in my amphib announcement forward, but I
know lots of birders are interested in all of nature, so hope it was
okay. Bird comment follows: :-)

Anyway, I've been surprised to hear of so many people mentioning that
they are just seeing their first varied thrushes. Mine did come back
later, around late November, but have been in residence ever since.
Numbers are down a bit, but I see several every day. I love their
"songs" and can hardly wait to see if they start singing earlier this
year because of the weather. It's a neat sound to hear in the woods.
Sometimes I do wish there was a real wood thrush to chase, however.

Cheers, Diann
