Jeff Jendro and I tried for the Emperor Geese near South Bend yesterday morning. We spent nearly a hour scoping the various flocks of Canada/Cackling Geese. We did pick out one Greater White-fronted Goose. Also, two red neck bands were seen on the Canadas.

After South Bend, we headed back to Grays Harbor county covering the Hoquiam STP, Grays Harbor NWR, and the Brady Loop area. Most notable were two separate Rough-legged Hawks. One was seen "kiting" near the K street field in Hoquiam. The other was on the south end of Foster Rd. in the Brady Loop area.
