Hello Tweeters
Today I saw a Chestnut -backed Chickadee coming our one of the
birdhouses, while the male was sitting waiting on a bush.It seems real early
of thinking of breeding.I been really busy keeping my two Suet feeder up
every day, what I usual do this before it getting dark.I also taking in all
three Hummingbird feeders, since two days ago one got broken do to ice.Beside
this I have to de-ice one of my bird bath it is frozen soled. In one of them
I have a bird bath heater what works still so good ,the date when I bough
this heater was 1992.Patrick used to do all this now I know now how much
work going in to keep things full and clean. In all the 26 years we feeding
birds that we had one decease in some of the birds.
Now coming back to the subject of the Squirrels what is costing so much
controversy, like all birders,I been chasing this pesky mammals off with all
king of weapon, but never even coming close to hitting them.I had a old big
feeder what I got from the Audubon as a price Patrick did not liked the
feeder at all ,since this squirrels can climb up with no trouble.I pulled
out this big feeder and put it in the back of my backyard.Fill it with
Sunflower seeds,It worked no one coming to my front feeders. This for now ,it
been a week since I start doing this.
I am so sorry that Margaret Parkinson sign off on tweeters, but if she feels
she can respond to some birders on tweeters in private.
