Dear Tweeters -

My husband and I went out this morning to the Montlake Fill/UBNA at 8:30am.
We bundled up as best we could but it really wasn't enough...quite cold out
there. (for us wimpy Seattle types) The ponds were frozen. The creek was
running. When the creek opens up and makes a turn to the east...right in the
elbow...there was some running water too. It was a lovely winter day. Thanks
to Connie Sidles we are into Bad Weather Birding!

We saw:
Pied billed grebe
Great Blue Heron (2)
Canada Geeese
Green Winged Teals
Mallards
Northern Shovelors
Gadwalls
American Widgeons
Buffleheads
Coots
Gulls
Hummingbird on top of a small tree
American Crow
American Robins
European Starlings
Red-Winged Blackbird
Western Meadowlark
