I tried again to find the Emperor Geese south of South Bend, WA, this time
with success. I saw two about 50 yards southwest of Carruthers Road on the
northwest side of Highway 101at about 12:30 PM, 1/28/08. I could tell they
were there even before getting my binoculars out. They were in the midst of a
couple of hundred other Canada/Cackling Geese.
