Hello all,

A first winter female Townsend's Warbler this afternoon, foraging in our yard off South Bay Road in Olympia, the first one I've seen this winter. Other than a lull from Jan 21-25, we've had a flock of 50-100 Pine Siskins in our yard each day for the last month. The last couple of days the numbers have increased again, and perhaps because of the competition over the thistle feeders I've seen birds each day feeding at two different suet feeders.

Other daily yard birds, Scrub Jays, Steller's Jays, California Quail, Fox Sparrows, Song Sparrows, Golden-crowned Sparrows, Spotted Towhees, Downy Woodpeckers, Hairy Woodpeckers, Northern Flickers, Juncos, Robins. Yesterday we had two Varied Thrush foraging in the yard with a flock of Robins, first of the winter.
