Subject: [Tweeters] FOUND: Tibetan Eared Pheasant (dead) in Wedgwood

People often bring dead birds in to ID. Today, was exceptional because
I got called over to the main office to ID a "large bird." I certainly
wasn't expecting a Tibetan Eared Pheasant!

A gentleman who lives near Sand Point found it dead in his yard today
(July 1). I made several attempts to find an exotic bird listserve to
inform the owner that we found their bird and we will be donating it to
the educational/research collection at the Burke Museum if they want it.
If someone on Tweeters is the owner or knows a better way to reach that
community, please let me know.

Time is of the essence as we don't have a freezer big enough for it.

Thanks!
