Blue Eared Pheasants are becoming more common in captivity because their
feathers can be used as substitutes for Gray Heron by fly tyers
(especially steelheaders). I understand they can become quite tame and
thought about getting a pair. Some fun photos of a tame one here

People often bring dead birds in to ID. Today, was exceptional because
I got called over to the main office to ID a "large bird." I certainly
wasn't expecting a Tibetan Eared Pheasant!
