Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was made Thursday July 3. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls at

The fall migration of shorebirds has begun with WESTERN SANDPIPERS being the
most conspicuous. On June 29 an UPLAND SANDPIPER was at Cape Blanco. A
BUFF-BREASTED SANDPIPER was near Bandon June 27.

On June 26 a MOCKINGBIRD was at Yachats. Up to 23 GREAT EGRETS were at
Yaquina Bay on June 30. On July 2 two WHITE PELICANS were at Youngs Bay near
Astoria.

On July 2 a GOLDEN-CROWNED SPARROW was at Pittock Mansion in Portland. Fifty
WHITE PELICANS are now at Fern Ridge Reservoir. A BROWN PELICAN was there
June 26. Five GREAT EGRETS were at Fern Ridge July 1.

On June 28 six CATBIRDS were at Troutlake, WA. On June 29 a CLARK?S GREBE
was on the Redmond Sewage Ponds.
