Tweets, it's time for me to alert all my colleagues and friends in Tweeterdom--many of whom I've never met--that I'll be doing a Powerpoint talk about beginning birding and a book signing for my new book, Finding Your Wings, on 16 May at 7:00 p.m. at the University Book Store. I'd love to have a lot of folks show up, not so much for you to buy books (though of course we don't discourage that) but perhaps more as a Meet and Greet, as a show of community for Seattle-area birders. You've probably seen that reviewers have been very enthusiastic about the book -- we had a nice little notice from ABA Sales in the latest edition of Winging It, from ABA. Most Tweets wouldn't need the book, although I believe it contains some good lessons for everyone up through intermediate birder status. However, maybe you have a friend or relative who's getting interested in birding and could use some guidance. Anyone, I'd be delighted to see you there, all commercial interests aside.
