If Black Swifts prefer non-basalt cliffs for nesting, the closest
ones to Jim's home would be on Silver Star Mountain on the Clark/Skamania
County line due east of Battle Ground. There are a couple of fairly nice
falls located at the head of some of the creeks in the steep rocky
gorges.
