Subject: [Tweeters] Bald eagle nest-building at Marymoor

Yesterday morning as I was returning to my car in the lot at the south end
of the off-leash area I saw a bald eagle land just beyond the dirt piles.
When I went over to investigate it took flight carrying a large amount of
dead grass in its feet. I assume this was to line a nest since I have seen
this before. It flew in the direction of the rowing club. It seems extremely
late in the season for eagles to be building a nest. Perhaps their first
nest failed? Do they ever raise a second family in one season?
