Seen this morning at Union Bay Natural Area, Southwest pond - Pied-billed
Grebe parents feeding two chicks. Quite small, so probably not very old.

I also ran into Connie Sidles there and want to thank her very much for
teaching me (very new to birding) how to spot the Black Swifts, and also
for helping me see the Spotted Sandpiper (at the middle pond). Thanks for
the help and great conversation!

On Friday morning (4th July) I was at Marymoor and saw two martins at the
purple martin gourds, plus Wood Ducks and ducklings. Between the landing
and the dog area, a Green Heron flew in to pose nicely on a log on the
river bank.
