Washington Birder has Eurasian Collared Dove as a #5 bird in Cowlitz County.
NIMBY! Had five at once a few hours ago and three right now. I had one or
two regularly late May and early June. Don't know what was happening the
past three weeks as I was out of country, but have seen them the last two days
since getting back. Because I also have Mourning Doves at the same time I
can get a real good comparison. My bird feeders were refilled by my daughter
and family twice while I was gone so the food source was not interrupted.
House Sparrows, American Goldfinch, House Finch and Western Scrub Jay take turns
knocking seeds out of the feeder onto the ground where the doves feed.
