I would concur with Kelly McAllister and would bet you were hearing Cicadas,
a large insect in the Homoptera that looks like a giant winged aphid. I
heard numerous cicadas in Seward Park in Seattle today, but I don't know
just what species we have. I often try to find them, but only rarely can
find the cicada that I hear buzzing.

Hello,
For as long as I can remember I've been hearing some kind of critter
making a buzzing kinda sound. I've never been able to identify it and not
sure if its a bird or insect. Its loud and kinda buzz/chirp that stays the
same through the song. I just heard it from a few individuals at Titlow
Park.
