Hi Tweets!

I visited the Fill between 6:30 & 9:00 am. It was a little chilly this morning, but GREAT to be out! The Long-billed Dowitcher's (tough to tell the difference between long and short billed Dowitchers) and assorted Sandpipers were still playing in the mud between Shovelers Pond and and the Central Pond. I also spotted the Pied-billed Grebe offspring (too far away for photo's) in the Southwest Pond. From there I stopped off in Edmonds, it was a -1.7 tide this morning. What I found interesting there, were Heermann's Gulls. They were located where Shell Creek runs into the Sound, that's about .75 miles north of the Ferry Terminal. Isn't it a little early for them to be in this area? I don't recollect seeing them last year until late August early September.
