Hello tweeties,

i wrote a piece about one of my most favorite bird-related topics: the evolution of color plumage in birds. in this piece, i write about the evolution of the coloration of eclectus parrots, a bird that shows reverse sexual dichromatism, yet does NOT have a polyandrous mating system. This makes eeclectus parrots unique among birds, and understanding the complex and subtle relationships between resource allocation, ecology, and natural history and how these all combine to affect evolution of plumage coloring is probably one of the most fascinating contributions to evolutionary theory that i can think of;
