Hey tweets, thanks to all who spent time trying to track down the
reference to Roger Tory Peterson's feat of finding more birds by ear
while lying in bed than his friends did while tramping all about. Pam
Cahn found the reference in Peterson's Birds Over America. I am still
in awe that our birding community can tap into such a huge knowledge
base and come up with answers like this. It's even more awesome that
