Hi Tweeters,

Here are the recommended sites for birding in this beautiful area. I spent two consecutive falls conducting a raptor count in Sisters, Oregon. We had a total of 600 raptors in one weekend during migration along Greenridge in 2005 and 2006.

The area is excellent for woodpeckers, pygmy owls, and green tailed towhees, gray flycatchers, and such...Vagrants such as Black and White Warbler, American Redstarts, Blue winged Warbler, and Broad tailed hummingbirds have been found in the riparian rich areas.

Detail information with excellent directions can be found here. ECBC is an excellent non-profit organization devoting much of their volunteer time to provide birders with such wonderful resources and projects to volunteer for..Check out their website!!

Let me know if you have any questions. Good birding and enjoy your summer.
