Stepped out the door this morning to grab the newspaper. It was going to happen sooner or later, but a Eurasian Collared-Dove was calling where I usually hear Mourning Doves.

Shorebirds yesterday included 12 species between the potato ponds (Othello) and the County Line ponds (SR 26), which are drying up. Among the species are Semipalmated Sandpipers at both locations, Semipalmated Plover at potato ponds and Solitary Sandpiper at the County Line ponds.
