Hello Tweeters,
It was worth staying home today, after being absent since June the 20th,I
had the female Pileated Woodpecker bringing her young in to my yard. She went
on the Suet, the two young birds was sitting still in the Birch tree, after a
while she came to the young and fed them suet while I watched and taken
photos. This is only the second time that I see a Pileated Woodpecker feeding
there young. The other occasion appeared in Snow Park Okanagon Co.There we
had a pair of Pileated and Williamson's Sapsucker side by side feeding there
young in trees. The Pileated Woodpecker is of view in a Burien Park,it was a
laminated photo. The Squirrel scared the woodpeckers today,so there went deep
in to the trees. This pair of Woodpeckers been here since the 17 of November
coming every day to June ,when there was breeding.I also had a group of 18
Bushtit's where there enjoyed the birdbath mixing in with all the many
Chickadee's of both races.

It was a good day
Cheers Ruth Sullivan
