I wonder if the herons are nesting with the Ospreys in order to get the
benefit of the Ospreys protecting their nests from Bald Eagles. Bald Eagles
have destroyed every heron colony and 90% of single nest or two or three
nest groupingq of herons on Vashon and Maury Island over the last decade.
