A PINE GROSBEAK was reported from this year's Wenas Memorial Day Weekend
Campout but I was unable to get any details or more information on this
sighting. Richard Hamby and I spent an extra six days birding with two of
those days exploring the Satus Pass area of Klickitat County in hopes of
locating Great Gray Owl. On Saturday, May 30, we had a single PINE
GROSBEAK calling while circling over our camp about five miles west of
the old ski area.
