Hi Tweeters,

While typing away at the computer this morning with the door to the back
deck wide open (why would the glass door ever be closed when I'm at home and
awake), I heard a familiar call although not familiar to my yard in Battle
Ground, Clark County. I walked outside and heard the unmistakable song of a
BULLOCK'S ORIOLE - another first for the yard. Another surprise was a pair
of BELTED KINGFISHERs chasing each other overhead. It would be nice to have
them breeding nearby. Earlier this morning, I heard what sounded very much
like a singing Tenessee Warbler but I was not able to confirm it so it will
be go down as "that would have been nice....."

Good birding to everyone.......
