I have been on the eastside for a few days and have found the following ferruginous hawks. If you are heading to the WOS Convention you may be close during your trip in.

There was a bird at the old standby spot. The turn off from Hwy 261 on to Palouse Falls Rd, Franklin Co. Sitting on the high knob north of the turnoff.

I had a ferrug. one mile south of Washtucna (YES Adams Co.!) on Hwy 260. It was along the road on a basalt outcrop. It flew to the east. There is a bypass road that takes off of Hwy 260 nearby and brings you back to Hwy 261. Try this. Look for badgers on this rd.

I had a bird 1/2 mile north of the Hwy 271 x Hwy 195, in Whitman Co. It was along the rd on the west side.

All birds were seen in the last three days.

See ya at the Conference.
