Hi Tweets:
I'm heading out the door to Walla Walla, so can't follow up on this sighting.
Charlie Wright, our RAS Seen and Heard reporter, got the msg below from J LeMons.
Charlie is in N Hampshire this summer, after his freshman college year. He is doing
bird surveys, and quite likes it.
Try emailing buddhasghost at comcast.net (see below) for more details about where the
Avocet is. I received an attachment w/ the msg, but could not view it.
Yours, Carol Schulz

Hi, Carol
Maybe you can look into this or fwd it to others? It's a bit hard from here in NH!
PS - It's going really well here!
Charlie

Hello,

Although I am not in any birding "organization" I thought, perhaps,
the sighting of an American Avocet (Recurvirostra Americana) might be of
some interest to the birding organizations here in Western Washington.

If you would like any further information please feel free to contact
me.
I observed the bird (only saw one) in the Auburn area for well over 3
hours on the afternoon of June 3rd
And since I use a camera in lieu of binoculars I do have a number of
photos.

Regards,

J LeMons
