Subject: [Tweeters] Weird Birders

My weirdest birder moment was sneaking around Parisian
Parks one April dawn with binoculars. There were
heavily armed police everywhere, so I tried to avoid
them, which along with being dressed in black probably
made me look worse.

Finally, after saying hello to two police cradling
huge machine guns, one had enough English to inform me
that wandering around at 5 a.m dressed in black
looking up into the trees near the Champs Elysee, was
probably a bad idea the day before the Bastille Day
parade.
