Hello Tweeters...

We had a fun new siting in our backyard this weekend...maybe need help with positive id but the closed I could come between Sibleys/Stokes... was either a WW Peewee or the Willow Flycatcher? It was plumped up sitting on a little metal perch (complete w/ metal hummingbird pal) very silvery/whitish chest...the flycatcher bill, a bit of a crest, subtle wingbars, a very tiny bit of olive?, not more than 6". I wasn't sure if anyone else had spotted one.

I'd also been hearing a different song but could not figure the sound from the phonetics in the books. It perched several times in the same spot over the weekend and did see it fly after bugs, so think I am close in choosing which it might be. Any verification would be appreciated.

Good news in the condo snag - both Flickers and Nuthatches are feeding young ones (in the same snag) who are now approaching the "windows" peeping out waiting for parental feeding. Glad the neighboring crows did not discourage this nesting.

I thinked they liked the brief sun breaks we had this weekend, as did I!
