I work on the Swedish Cherry Hill Campus (formerly Providence - Seattle Medical Center). Our cube farm has an west-facing window. Approximately 4 weeks ago, a pair of pigeons started a nest on the ledge outside the window. 3 eggs were laid, though only one hatched. The little bird grew for approximately two weeks, when it also died last week on Thursday around the same time the falcon chicks died. I thought at the time that the weather was so cold and wet.
It is no longer on the nest or ledge...I suspect the Crows who frequent the building roofs next door may have hauled the carcass off.
