This morning at around 7:20 AM, I was making my way down my street for the bus when I heard the "quick, three beers" call from the trees above. I was stunned. I waited for a good five minutes and was aboutto give up, when I heard the call again. Eventually, an Olive-sided Flycatcher flew out to perch on a snag, just north of our house. I suspect the winds brought it in, but either way, a first for our neighborhood.

We live at 4551 33rd Ave S, just north of Alaska and between ML King Jr Way and Rainier Ave S. Our house is surrounded by tall trees, including two immense poplars on the front lawn. The bird was flycatching from a snag that can be viewed fromm the north side of our house.
