Greetings -
This morning I heard singing Swainson's Thrush at my place for the
first time of this season.
Swainson's were first found here on 14 May when one was calling in my
swamp brush. (On the 15th I found them at Woodard Bay Conservation
Area, and on the 16h along McLane Creek trail, both in northern
Thurston Co.)
For the past month I've heard up to 3 calling on most days. This
morning, 2 were singing and a third was calling.
Yesterday I walked the 1.4-mile trail loop at McLane and heard at least
6 calling (10 on 2 June) but none singing.
