After Arden and Sherry Hagen called me to come down and view the
WHITE-WINGED DOVE in Vancouver I decided to continue down to Vancouver
Lake and see if there were any other birds moving around. On Vancouver
Lake there were 43 Aechmophorus grebes, at least two were CLARK'S GREBES
and the rest were most likely WESTERN GREBES. These birds are visible
from the Flushing Channel parking lot with a scope although the Clark's
were in the channel and easily identifiable without binoculars. At the
end of Lower River Road I walked out the closed road to view Post Office
Lake where I found three male and a female LESSER SCAUP.
