Yesterday I spent a part of the morning and early afternoon birding and just walking around Discovery Park. What a great spot, and right in the middle of the city (hard to believe, sometimes). Best sighting was a pair of MARBLED MURRELETS just off from the Westpoint Lighthouse. I had a total of 43 species; some of the highlights being:

WESTERN TANAGER

SWAINSON'S THRUSH

WARBLING VIREO

WILSON'S WARBLER

ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLER

PINE SISKIN

OLIVE-SIDED FLYCATCHER

PACIFIC-SLOPE FLYCATCHER

WILLOW FLYCATCHER

WESTERN WOOD-PEWEE

BAND-TAILED PIGEON

RUFOUS and ANNA'S HUMMINGBIRDS

COOPER'S HAWK

Cheers and Good Birding;
