I would love to see an on-list answer to this.

I think we have the tools...a birdpod, serious night vision (Rigel brand scope that looks like military hardware) and some lights.

The question is, how do we use those tools appropriately -- we are very sensitive to the birdpod use in particular -- and where do we use them to find some owls? What are the best techniques?
