Tweets,
Accipiters were seemingly "everywhere" I was birding the last few days. I'm
wondering if it is shear coincidence or if there's a connection to what's
happening in their nesting/fledging schedule. (1) Sharpy soaring near Old
Hwy 99 3/4 mile W of Tilley Rd, morning of 6/14. (2) Two Cooper's
terrorizing a flock of starlings at prairie's edge E of intersection of
Waldrick & Military, early evening of 6/15. (Also a singing Lazuli Bunting N
of the RR track crossing.) (3) Male Cooper's "prowling" along a hedgerow on
Vantine Rd just N of Old Military, morning of 6/16. Good birding!
