Friday afternoon, paddling along the Sammamish Slough by Marymoor
Park, I was lucky to photograph a mother Common Merganser and her
five babies riding on her back in various combinations (only four
babies show in these photos):

Other highlight was four noisy Belted Kingfishers that have been
hanging out in a gang for awhile now.
