HI Meredith,

Could you add to the Tweeters posting that we have had a cold, wet spring
here, and about one week before the hummingbirds disappeared we had a cold
driving wind and rain in the valley, and snow almost to the valley floor.
On that day we fed over 4 gallons of sugar water.

P.S. Just privately, we are thinking that perhaps there was a total
breeding failure and the birds are dispersing, just as they usually do
later in the summer. We did see 3 fledglings at the feeders, though.
