Nice photos!
This is an adult Barred Owl. Young are out now, and easily detected by their
food begging hiss call. Young will have "peach fuzz" on their head, and
their tails will be tipped in white and pointed, rather than mottled and
rounded as in an adult.

I am starting to do my annual census on Bainbridge Island, and finding that
75% of my nests are producing triplets this year.

I also saw a Barred Owl in the same general area at Woodland Park on
Saturday and took a few pictures.
