Greetings, all,

The male LAZULI BUNTING continues at Seattle's Montlake Fill east of the
U. of WA. The bird was not singing this morning, and only perched atop
shrubs and small trees for a few moments (southwest of the weather
station). I may have heard a second bird calling, so if we behave
ourselves, perhaps there'll be chicks.

Also: an immature PEREGRINE FALCON struggling to perch on snags as
other birds mobbed it, a CINNAMON TEAL with nine ducklings, a COOPER'S
HAWK carrying prey into the neighborhood to the north, and sustained
battling between an OSPREY and a BALD EAGLE.
