Had 750 cranes at Scooteney Reservoir and field to the north off Coyan Road late this afternoon. More coming by next weekend. Heard them Thursday near Corfu and some are roosting south of Potholes Reservoir. Othello has 3 motels.

Subject: [Tweeters] RFI: Othello Sandhill Cranes

Am headed to Wenatchee next weekend and would like to take my family there out birding. Had thought about heading for Othello - according to Hal Opperman (A Birder's Guide to Washington) this might be a bit early for the Sandhill Cranes. If we were to go anyway, any recommendations for places to stay overnight, or additional locations to check out?

Also, are the Snowy Owls still being seen up on the Waterville Plateau?

Thanks in advance.
