Hi all,

I visited the Edmonds Marsh (AKA Union Oil Marsh, Edmonds Wetland Preserve
or simply the muddy area below the new massive condo development) two days
in a row and was treated to quite a show. There are two male Anna's
Hummingbirds that are staking out territories at opposite ends of the
walkway along the Northern edge of the marsh. Both were chattering,
displaying their gorgets and performing aerial ballet. I saw a
Yellow-rumped warbler both days hanging out in alders next to long gravel
parking area. Ruby-crowned Kinglets, Black-capped Chickadees, Bewick's
Wrens and Bushtits were present in abundance, as were Song Sparrows,
Golden-crowned Sparrows, Killdeer, Great Blue Herons, Spotted Towhees,
Red-winged Blackbirds, American Robins, and more. I took many photos of one
of the Anna's Hummingbirds, as well as a few other miscellaneous species
that passed in front of the lens. The photos can be accessed here:
http://www.goatislandimages.com/photogalleries.htm in the "New Photos"
gallery. Below is the list of species from both days at the marsh.
