Subject: [Tweeters] Ridgefield: OTTER takes COOT diving, then out to lunch

The Otter has the Coot beat hands down. I used to watch them all the time
on the upper Nisqually River while they fished. It was amazing how much
water they could cover without ever coming up. Otters take ducks and geese
all the time. They are nothing but muscle and attitude when needed. A few
years ago, a family of three wiped out my duck and goose population in less
than a week; ditto the channel catfish!
