Hello, Tweets. Many of you know that over a year ago I invited folks to help me with a new book project, and some of you responded. Well, the book is going to be out in a few days as an addition to the Peterson Field Guide Series published by Houghton Mifflin. It's title is Finding Your Wings: A Workbook for Beginning Bird Watchers, and you'll be able to see it soon at your local bookstores, I hope. (For those in the Olympia area, I'm having a short talk and book signing at the Barnes and Noble Bookstore on Black Lake Blvd., just off Highway 101, at 7 p.m. this Thursday, 6 March, and I'd be delighted to see Tweeters folks there.) Those who are already experienced birders will probably find it most valuable as an aid for their less-experienced friends and relatives, though I think it has some useful lessons for just about everyone interested in birding.

Cheers and best to all,
Burt
