Tina and I spent a wonderful Sunday birding on San Juan Island. The weather
was nice, the birds many, and the tourists few. We found a few really good
birds for the county:

* Black-Capped Chickadee at Panorama Marsh
* Horned Lark at South Beach
* Eurasian Wigeon at Sportsman Lake
* A single Tundra Swan in with the Trumpeters at Ackley Marsh



On the way home, we stopped by the West 90 on the Samish Flats at twilight.
We counted 7 Short-Eared Owls including one perched on the fence-post next
to the car.
