In the places where I hang out, esp. Green Lake and Union Bay Recovery
Area (Montlake Fill), this has been by far the most prolific year that I
have experienced in my relatively short birding career. I have seen
flocks of up to nine pied-bills off the point south of the Urban
Horticulture Center.
