Though the birds have not yet been seen using the nests, our live
video Heron Cam is working in the March's Point heron colony at
Padilla Bay in Skagit County. Live video is now visible in our
exhibits and images are refreshed on our web page every minute:

I'm looking for volunteers with an interest in learning to use our
video software to capture images of interesting activity. This could
be scheduled at a time when there are people in the exhibits so you
can tell them about the project or when people are not expected to be
in the exhibits and you could work in solitude.

Because it will take some time from our staff to train volunteers,
I'm interested in volunteers that can commit to being here about once
per week (with flexibility) from March through July.
