Today, I did a bird survey out at the Grays Harbor National Wildlife Refuge located in Hoquiam at Bowerman Basin. My big highlight was flushing a Short-eared Owl out of some grass near the first observation lookout on the boardwalk. Also, I got nice looks at a Hermit Thrush in the alder grove just before the loop begins. Here's the list:
